Kirjutan selle 2021 aasta viimase töö ka siia ära. 

Kui ma kevadel selle esimese islandi kampsuni/tuunika valmis sain, pidin kohe järgmise varrastele panema.  Lõngaks Istexi Plötulopi (100g/300m).  Internet on täis kuulujutte, et on nii jube kududa kuna läheb koguaeg katki.  Heidelõng.  Ja kuna ma pean ju igasuguseid asju omal nahal järele proovima, siis ostsin lõngad, valisin mudeli ja alustasin kudumist.

When I finished my first Icelandic sweater / tunic in the spring, I had to put the next one on the needles right away. The yarn is Istexi Plötulopi (100g / 300m). The internet is full of rumors that it is so scary to knit because it breaks all the time. Unspun yarn. And since I have to try all sorts of things on my own skin, I bought yarns, chose a model and started to knit.  

 

Alustasin maikuus ja lõpetasin detsembris.  Vahepeal tegin igasuguseid muid asju nagu eelnevatest postitustest näha võib.  

Mudel on Jennifer Steingassi “Vintersol“.  

 

I started in May and finished in December. In the meantime, I did all sorts of other things, as you can see from previous posts.

The model is Jennifer Steingass’es “Vintersol“.

 

Kootud ülaosa alt üles ja seejärel varrukad ja keha osa ülevalt alla.  Mingeid tähelepanuväärseid probleeme mul lõngaga polnud kui välja arvata paar korda lõnga peale istumine ja korra jäi lõng töö ümber kinni ja läks katki.  Kokkuvõttes on see küll täiesti olematu probleem, sest lõnga on imelihtne jätkata.  

 

Knitted the top from the bottom up and then the sleeves and the body part from the top down.

I didn’t have any significant problems with the yarn, except for sitting on the yarn a few times and once the yarn got stuck around the work and broke. All in all, this is a completely non-existent problem, because the yarn is easy to continue.

 

Vardad töös olid 3.0mm ja 3,5mm.  Kampsunist tuli mõnusalt õhuke, kerge ja ikkagi soe.  

The needles I used were 3.0mm and 3.5mm. The sweater is pleasantly thin, light, but still warm.

 

Nagu mõned teist on ehk märganud (FB-s & IG-s), ma ei ole sellest Islandi-“haigusest” veel paranenud. 

Selle aasta esimene sai just valmis ja teine on varrastel.  

As some of you may have noticed (on FB & IG), I have not yet recovered from this Icelandic “illness”.

The first of this year has just been completed and the second is on the rods.

Nendest töödest kirjutan lisa kunagi veidi hiljem.

Selle sokimaratoni järel tundus, et peaks tegema midagi hoopis teistsugust.  Noh, sama isik, Suvi, ja sama koht, käsitöökeskus nimelt.  Suvi heegeldas saunavihta linasest lõngast.  Mina ei ole heegeldaja….aga ma kunagi olen heegeldanud päris mitu asja. Nii ma siis otsustasin proovida midagi täiesti uut ja äratada endas see heegeldaja.

Leidsin riiulist kanepilõnga ja kodus sobiva heegelnõela ja nii ta valmis saigi.

Samal ajal sain aru, et see ei ole minu jaoks.  Heegeldaja minus ei ärganud.

After this sock-marathon I felt, that I need to do something totally different.  Well, same person, Suvi, and same place, handcraftcenter.  Suvi was crotercheting besom/broom, ( Finnish: vasta or vihta; Estonian: viht); Lithuanian: vanta) is a besom, or broom, used for bathing in saunas, such as Russian banyas.) of linen yarn.  But I’m not the crocheter.  I have been crocheting many years ago, got even done some things. So I decided to try this, something totally different and wake up the crocheter in me. 

Found some hempyarn on the self and hook from my home stock and got it done.  

At the same time I understood, it’s not for me.  Crocheter in me still sleeping.  

Ahjaa, peaaegu oleks unustanud.  Mingil hetkel ilmus Suvile sinna keskusesse kellelegi täiesti üleliigsed tibatillukesed heegelkonksud ja kuna ma harrastan aeg-ajalt neid pärlitega asju kududa, siis need olid just mulle sobivad.

Oh, almost forgot. 

At some point, some tiny crochet hooks, unnecessary for someone, appeared in the center, and since I like to knit these things with pearls from time to time, they were just right for me.

Kõik need natukene suuremad, Suvi sai endale.  Ja kõik olid rahul.

All these little bit bigger hooks Suvi got to herself.  So everybody was happy.  

Ja kui ma juba nendest väikestest konksudest ja pärlitest räägin, lisan siia ka mõned näitlikud pildid.  Tegin neid päris mitmed paarid, sest need meeldivad inimestele.

Ja kõigepealt üks pilt nendest pärlitest.  Silmusemärk ehk annab mingisugust aimu suurustest.

And when I’m talking about these tiny hooks and beads, I put some photos of these wrist warmers here too.  I did these quite some pairs, as people like these.

Ja nüüd need pildid tööst endast.  Kasutan õhukest sallilõnga (100g/1500m, meriinovill) kahekordselt, vardad 1,75mm, heegelnõel 0,65mm.  Ja tehnika magic loop, ehk et kaks korraga ringvarrastel.  Mõnus ja lihtne.

And now the photos of work itself.  I use this thin laceyarn (100g/1500m; merinowool) in double, needles 1,75mm, crochethook 0,65mm. In magic loop technique, two at the time on circular needles.  Fun and simple. 

Ma ei ole kindel, et siin kogu aasta randmekad on, aga ehk suurem osa.  Ja kuna mingil hetkel tundus igav kududa vaid valgeid pärleid, siis tellisin natukene värvilisi lisaks. (nagu piltideltki näha võib)

I’m not sure, that here’s all wrist warmers from my year, but maybe most of them.  At one point it felt so dull to knit only white beads, so I ordered some colourful beads too. (as You can see on the photos) 

Ja siis juhtus kevadel see, et andsin kiusatusele järele.  Juba üle aasta olin komistanud pidevalt Islandi kampsunite piltidele some-maailmas.  Ja mõtlesin, et noh tore, aga ei minule.  Noh, ühel ilusal päeval kui käisin taas käsitöökeskuses, armusin Lettlopi lõngadesse.  Ja lõngahamster loomulikult peab lõnga ostma kui seda näeb.  Seega korjasin kaasa hunniku lõnga ja otsustasin, et mina koon ka, vähemalt ühe.

Noh, otsustasin kududa Gimsteinn’i.   Ja nii ma siis kudusingi.  Vahpeal tuli küll lõngapaanika, kuna tundus, et põhilõnga ei ole piisavalt.  Siis tellisin paanikas igast suunast juurde (loomulikult mõne kera ka täitsa valet värvitooni, seekord kogemata) ja lõppude lõpuks jäi lõnga üle.  😀  😀

    Alustasin ma loomulikult mingil hetkel teise kampsuni kudumist ka, seekord lõngaks Plötulopi.  Kampsun on põhimõtteliselt valmis, aga ootab pesu veel, seega pilte pole.  Ehk et sellest kuulete kunagi hiljem.

I started another one too, from yarn named Plötulopi.  The sweater is done, but it’s waiting for washing, so no photos of it.  You might here about it sometimes later.  

Kui ma olin Gimsteinni valmis saanud, ilmus Instagrami testkudumine Lily-kleidile.  Alguses oli raskusi sobiva lõnga leidmisega (uskumatu, onju?), aga leidsin siiski.  Kududa oli mõnus.  Ja selline sellest tuli.

Then I got Gimsteinn done, there was announced testknittingfor Lily-dress in instagram. At first I had difficulties to find yarn (can You belive it??), but finally I found some.  It was nice knitting.  And that’s how it looks like.  

Ma nüüd selleks korraks lõpetan, et jääks järgmiseks korraks ka midagi.  😉
