Kirjutan selle 2021 aasta viimase töö ka siia ära. 

Kui ma kevadel selle esimese islandi kampsuni/tuunika valmis sain, pidin kohe järgmise varrastele panema.  Lõngaks Istexi Plötulopi (100g/300m).  Internet on täis kuulujutte, et on nii jube kududa kuna läheb koguaeg katki.  Heidelõng.  Ja kuna ma pean ju igasuguseid asju omal nahal järele proovima, siis ostsin lõngad, valisin mudeli ja alustasin kudumist.

When I finished my first Icelandic sweater / tunic in the spring, I had to put the next one on the needles right away. The yarn is Istexi Plötulopi (100g / 300m). The internet is full of rumors that it is so scary to knit because it breaks all the time. Unspun yarn. And since I have to try all sorts of things on my own skin, I bought yarns, chose a model and started to knit.  

 

Alustasin maikuus ja lõpetasin detsembris.  Vahepeal tegin igasuguseid muid asju nagu eelnevatest postitustest näha võib.  

Mudel on Jennifer Steingassi “Vintersol“.  

 

I started in May and finished in December. In the meantime, I did all sorts of other things, as you can see from previous posts.

The model is Jennifer Steingass’es “Vintersol“.

 

Kootud ülaosa alt üles ja seejärel varrukad ja keha osa ülevalt alla.  Mingeid tähelepanuväärseid probleeme mul lõngaga polnud kui välja arvata paar korda lõnga peale istumine ja korra jäi lõng töö ümber kinni ja läks katki.  Kokkuvõttes on see küll täiesti olematu probleem, sest lõnga on imelihtne jätkata.  

 

Knitted the top from the bottom up and then the sleeves and the body part from the top down.

I didn’t have any significant problems with the yarn, except for sitting on the yarn a few times and once the yarn got stuck around the work and broke. All in all, this is a completely non-existent problem, because the yarn is easy to continue.

 

Vardad töös olid 3.0mm ja 3,5mm.  Kampsunist tuli mõnusalt õhuke, kerge ja ikkagi soe.  

The needles I used were 3.0mm and 3.5mm. The sweater is pleasantly thin, light, but still warm.

 

Nagu mõned teist on ehk märganud (FB-s & IG-s), ma ei ole sellest Islandi-“haigusest” veel paranenud. 

Selle aasta esimene sai just valmis ja teine on varrastel.  

As some of you may have noticed (on FB & IG), I have not yet recovered from this Icelandic “illness”.

The first of this year has just been completed and the second is on the rods.

Nendest töödest kirjutan lisa kunagi veidi hiljem.

Eelmise aasta pitsid.

Lillevälja salle sai aastas tehtud 3. Kõik kootud meriinolõngast.

Vardad ikka 2,25mm – 5,0mm. Pildid ainult kahest, sest kolmas oli ka valge.

Suvel tegime ühe fotosessiooni. Kleit on küll juba kolm aastat vana.

At the summer we took some photos of one of my dresses. This dress is already three years old.

Kevadel kudusin Maria Lily kleidi. Lõnga leidmine oli natuke keeruline ja lõppude lõpuks ma ei olnud sellega üldse rahul. Aga noh, kudusin kleidi valmis ja selline see tuli.

At the Spring I knitted Maria‘s Lily dress. Finding a yarn was little bit complicated and I actually wasn’t happy with it. But I just knitted the dress and that’s how it looks.

Augustis alustasin taas uue kleidiga… Idee oli “väike must”, aga petrooli värvi. Noh, nii ma siis alustasin, stiilis “go-with-a-flow”. Ehk et kudusin ja disainisin jooksvalt. Kudumise osa sai valmis kolme nädalaga, aga servade viimistlust ootas 3 kuud.

Esimesel pildil servad tegemata.

In August I started a new dress. The idea was “The little black dress”, but in petrol color. Well, so I started in style “go-wit-a- flow”. Meaning I designed it at the same time I was knitting it. Knitted part was done in three weeks, but making the edges nice, took three months.

At the first photo the edges were not done yet.

Sügisel ma komistasin Shetlandi salli kooskudumisele. Noh ja kuna väljakutseid ei ole kunagi liiga palju, otsustasin osaleda. Kudusin siidist, 2/30. Varras oli 2,0mm. Mõned pildid edenemisest.

In September I found a KAL of Shetland lace shawl. Well, as I need challenges from time to time, decided to take a part of this. I knitted it from silkyarn , 2/30. Needles were 2,0mm. Some photos of progress.

Noh ja siis loomulikult tuli osta natuke asjakohaseid raamatuid. Shetlandi pitsi “piiblid”.

And ofcourse I neede to buy some relevant books. The “bibles” of Shetland lace.

Järgmine projekt oli Meeli “Fairy of Happiness”, lõngaks 100% kashmiir, 2/48, ostetud Colourmart’ist. Varras 1,5mm-3,5mm.

The next project was Meeli‘s “Fairy of Happiness”. Yarn was 100% cashmere, 2/48, bought from Colourmart. Needlse were 1,5mm – 3,5mm.

Novembri lõpus kudusin kiiresti ühe väikese ristimiskleidi. Ülaosa tavaline, parempidine kude, raglaankahandused “lilledena” ja alaosas hagakiri.

At the end of November I knitted one fast christening gown. The upper part is simply flat knitted, decraeses for raglan are knitted as “flowers” and the down part is simple twig pattern.
